    TTLock Wi-Fi Gateway Setup Guide

    A TTLock Wi-Fi gateway connects your smart lock to the internet so you can lock, unlock, and manage access from anywhere. This guide walks you through pairing a gateway (such as the popular G2 model) with the Smart Lukko app and fixing common issues.

    What does a TTLock gateway do?

    On its own, a TTLock smart lock communicates over Bluetooth, so you have to be near the lock to control it. A TTLock Wi-Fi gateway bridges the lock to your home network, enabling remote unlocking, real-time status, passcode delivery, and live unlock notifications—even when you are away from home.

    Before you start

    • Place the gateway within range of both your router and your lock.
    • Make sure you have your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password ready.
    • Confirm your lock is already added to Smart Lukko over Bluetooth.
    • Keep your phone connected to the same 2.4GHz network during setup.

    Step-by-step: pair your gateway

    1. Plug the TTLock gateway into a power outlet near your lock and router.
    2. Wait for the indicator light to blink red and blue, signalling pairing mode.
    3. Open Smart Lukko and tap “Add Gateway”.
    4. Select your gateway from the list of nearby devices.
    5. Choose your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
    6. Wait for the light to turn solid—your gateway is now connected.
    7. Nearby locks are detected automatically and linked for remote control.

    Troubleshooting common issues

    Gateway won't connect to Wi-Fi

    TTLock gateways only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not 5GHz. If your router broadcasts a combined network, temporarily separate the bands or connect to the dedicated 2.4GHz SSID during setup. Double-check the password for typos.

    Lock not found by the gateway

    Move the gateway closer to the lock—thick walls and metal doors reduce range. Aim for the gateway to sit roughly midway between your router and the lock for the best signal.

    Gateway keeps going offline

    Weak Wi-Fi at the gateway's location is the usual cause. Relocate it nearer the router, or add a mesh node or Wi-Fi extender to strengthen coverage.
